Tribute to the master José Fontes Rocha in this album, where the singer sings 12 of the most important compositions of the musician. The guitarist died in 2011 at the age of 85, and in Joana Amendoeira’s own words, Fontes Rocha was “a teacher, a mentor, a friend and, above all, a musical accomplice”. Fellow of the guitarist at Clube de Fado, the historic restaurant located in Lisbon, the fado singer presents this tribute as a “celebration of the talent and mastery of one of the most important fado composers”. Accompanied by Pedro Amendoeira, on Portuguese guitar, Rogério Ferreira, on fado guitar and Paulo Paz, on double bass, this is a cohesive and full of feeling album.
